News:
We are excited to welcome signs of Spring here in Bath, Maine. We hope everyone is as happy as we are to see winter fading away!
As our days of cabin fever are hopefully soon to end, we are looking toward warmer days and brighter evenings to spend some much needed time outdoors with our families and pets.
Keep in mind a nice long stroll with your dog could be the perfect stress reliever at the end of a hectic day.
A current problem we have to be aware of is fleas. While fleas are an issue all year round, they have been a particularly big issue since last summer. If you have been battling a flea problem and went through the winter with fleas in the house, the problem will only get worse once spring and summer arrive. Did you know a flea infestation can cause not only skin issues, but it can also cause secondary issues such as tapeworms and cat scratch fever? Applying flea preventatives monthly to your pets can control a flea infestation. We recommend Vectra 3D, or Revolution. Over-the-counter flea products can be less effective and even dangerous to your pets. Proper application of the preventative is very important. If you're not sure you are applying it correctly, we will be happy to apply it for you and talk about proper application when you stop in.
Ticks are another seasonal hazard. Because ticks can cause illnesses such as Lyme disease, regular use of a monthly preventative as well as frequent checks of your pet is recommended. Quick removal of any ticks is important.
We offer a variety of flea and tick preventatives as well as heartworm preventatives to suit your pets' needs. We have recently started carring a new product that we find is working great with dogs - Vectra 3D. Please call or stop by to see which product will work best for your pet.
We are currently running several specials for Vectra 3D, Frontline and Revolution. Frontline and Vectra 3D, when you buy 3 doses, you will get 1 for free, and when you buy 6 you will get 2 for free. Revolution, when you buy 6 doses, you will get 2 doses for free or when you buy 9 doses you will get 3 doses for free. We also have several rebates for Frontline and Heartgard.
Something new we have just made available for our clients is access to an online store and home delivery options. You can order your pet's medications, supplies and even food with the convience of having it delivered right to your door! Also, we are now offering a Remind Me Program, an automatic home delivery program fro monthly preventative products.
